Giveaway - Shameless Ploy for More Followers

Ok, I admit it - I want people to read and follow my blog!  So to show my love for you, dear followers, I'm going to do a giveaway.

It's a simple one - a $20 Amazon voucher (or GBP 15 from amazon.co.uk depending on your choice!).  All I ask is that you tell me your true feelings about Zombies and follow my blog before November 30 2011.

C'mon, how painful can it be?

**Update** with three days to go I have determined the very scientific way I'm going to decide the winner. Yep I'm going to write all your names on a slip of paper and put them in a hat.  I know, I should have just got Rafflecopter......but the old-fashioned way is fun!  I'll even post pics ;-)

A big THANK YOU to everyone who has commented - I'm now closed for entries.  I have to go and do the whole employment thing then I will draw the winner - exciting!

  1. Great giveaway! :)
Zombies? I thought I was not a fan of the zombie themes, but Resident Evil (and a few of the sequels)are really great. Then there's Shaun of the Dead and Zombieland. OH! So funny. After seeing The Walking Dead on TV, I'm thinking I'd like to read the books. That is an awesome show.
So...I guess I am a fan of some zombies, heaven knows I feel like one too much of the time!

  2. Love Zombies, I;ve had a thing for them since I was little when I used to try and eat people (brother was really into Zombies when I was a kid). Then I started reading and watching more and more things. I love Shaun of the Dead, Zombieland, The Walking Dead (show and graphic novels) and I love the books Feed, Zombie Survival Guide and World War Z :)

  3. Kat, Came to to answer your call for more followers and am surprised at your awesome giveaway. Been in your shoes and still sometimes don't get the response I'm looking for with giveaways. One suggestion, move your "Join this site" up. I didn't see it the first time I attempted to look for it. It kind of blended in. Oh, and please sign me up for the giveaway.

You can reach me (if I win) at: seducedbyabook@gmail.com

  4. Okay, I forgot to comment about zombies. I like books and movies with them, especially when it comes to dystopian stories. When you make a romance between humans and zombies, that is another story. I could probably be sold if there are no body parts falling off and the zombie is well preserved, but the author would have to be a really good writer to accomplish the feat. Otherwise it's just too gross. lol

  5. I didn't think that I would be a fan of zombie reads, but Dearly Departed lured me in with the Victorian era revisited in the future. It turned out to be a great read. Now I am open to reading more zombie books. fivealarmbookreviews(at)yahoo(dot)com

  6. Zombies frightened me when I was a kid, but now I don't feel so scared anymore. But considering the rotten flesh on their bodies and their tendency to bite, I don't think I'd want to get near one. But books and movies based on zombies are fine. :)

  7. I never really thought about zombies until 2 years ago when I picked up 'Guilty Pleasures' by Laurell K Hamilton. Then there are the zombies in Jeaniene Frost's Night Huntress books. Gotta love zombies now.

  8. Hmmm...well, I have to admit that I'm not that fond of zombies, but then again, I haven't read much about them, so my mind may be changed if and when I read a really good zombie story. Just the idea of them isn't that appealing, however...

Wonderful Giveaway! :) Thanks for commenting on mine. Remember, if you do a blog post about it and tell me, you get extra points towards the prize!

  9. Not to offend anyone who loves the braineaters and such but I am SO not into Zombie stories or movies.
Yeah resident evil was good cause Milla Jovovich kicks butt.
Sean of the dead was hilarious but other than that, I'm a no zombie zone girl!

  16. HUZZAH!! You had me at the *Z-word*, and thus following in GFC is now my great good pleasure.

How do I feel about zombies??? Given the fact that two nights ago I finished Enclave and am currently nose deep in WWZ - I must confess that I am addicted to all things reanimated ;D

The grittier, the more ghoulish, the shambling lurching and oft infected they are, the better!! heh heh heh

  22. I love zombies. I'm trying to think back to the first time I was introduced to them but I can't pin point it. Pride and Prejudice and Zombies was a great read and The Walking Dead is my favourite television series at the moment, they have it just right. Perfect amount of zombies, humour and real life but they don't make it stupid!

  23. I'm your first follower :D

I love zombies, wether it is movies or books (check my site I have a few reviews up on them already and more on the way). No matter how dire a zombie movie is I will watch and, same with a book although I will always review it honestly.

I have always loved horror but give me anything with sharks and or Zombies (Flesh eating zombie movie actually has both and the zombie attacks the shark lol).

    Great giveaway thanks
