The Sunday Session

After events of the past week, I have made a personal choice to no longer participate in IMM on Sundays.  As such, I have chosen to use my own feature to summarise the past week on The Aussie Zombie and the books I have received.

Welcome to The Sunday Session! A Sunday Session is an Australian tradition usually held in pubs on a Sunday afternoon where people feeling a bit 'fragile' from a big weekend can listen to some chilled out music, have a late lunch, catch up with friends and maybe indulge in a little hair-of-the-dog.

Usually on a Sunday I mooch about, read blogs, check out new releases and book news and just generally do SFA - so what better opportunity to look back at the past week's reading, posts and the new books I've picked up!

I've had a crazy busy week and I've only read ONE BOOK. ONE. Totally unheard of in Kat's world. But what a great book it was!

  1. I love how you incorporated Aussie traditions into your new weekend post! :) And that cat is super adorable. Hehe, anyway: I STILL need to buy and read The Fault in Our Stars - it's been on my wishlist for ages. I also got the Vincent Boys about a month ago (it was free for Kindle) but haven't had time to read it yet. I hope you'll enjoy it and all your new reads.

    Happy reading! <3

  3. Oh The Fault In Our Stars. It sounds good but I've decided not to read it due to the fact that I will be balling crying for weeks if I do LOL Very jealous of Timepiece though! I love Kaleb and I'm so excited for his POV!

  5. I'm no longer following a certain person and that meme, so I', glad that you've taken inspiration from an Aussie tradition to do something different, and I still get to see your amazing new books! You always have a great mix of adult and ya books, and I get some awesome zombie rec's from you too! LOVE the zombies!! I think Tynga is now doing a Stacking The Shelves theme as an alternative to the other.

  9. Thumbs up for incorporating local traditions into your new summary feature. :-) It looks like you've been a busy bee, as well. I see that we have some books in common. Timepiece for the win!

  11. I think I'm the only person on the face of the blogosphere that had no idea what was going on with TSS. That's what I get for going offline for a week, haha.

What a great haul, though! So many shiny new books.
