Here's the first mini-challenge for Bout of Books 4.0. This question is hosted by Bookish Sarah.
“What do you like best about readathons? Do you have any readathon traditions or rituals? If this is your first readathon, what do you like so far? Discuss away!”
I LOVE readathons - it's so much fun to read along with others, talk about books or food or the best reading outfit (pyjamas, duh!).
This is my first week long readathon, most of the ones I participate in are over 24 hours, and my rituals are drinking a lot of tea, having a lot of yummy snacks (not necessarily healthy!) and having my books already picked out so I don't spend hours deliberating over what to read next (yeah, I spend LITERALLY hours doing this sometimes!).
One thing I try to do is have a book 'fast' before I start, so by the time the readathon I'm hanging out to get lost in a good book!
This is my first Bout of Books readathon, and I'm loving all the interaction on Twitter - after all, talking about books is why we are here!
Do you participate in readathons? What do you like best about them?
