The Sunday Session #9

Welcome to The Sunday Session! A Sunday Session is an Australian tradition usually held in pubs on a Sunday afternoon where people feeling a bit 'fragile' from a big weekend can listen to some chilled out music, have a late lunch, catch up with friends and maybe indulge in a little hair-of-the-dog. Usually on a Sunday I mooch about, read blogs, check out new releases and book news and just generally do SFA - so what better opportunity to look back at the past week's reading, posts and the new books I've picked up!

Reviews: Wormwood by Michael J. McFarland and Zomblog by T.W. Brown

I've been hugely busy this week and haven't been able to do as much blog-stalking as I normally do, but I'm hoping to get back online this week!

Leave me a link to your wrap-ups or book hauls and have a great week :-D

  1. I DNF'd The Sealed Letter... The Somnabulist by Essie Fox is soooo much better :-)

I can't wait for Pushing the limits, although the UK cover is just AWFUL!!

    1. To be honest, I only bought it because I had a voucher that I needed to use and the other choices were political thrillers and fluffy chick lit!

I really wonder about some publishers taste in covers!

    2. Yeah me too.... but why, do they feel they have to change a gorgeous coverjust because it's going into paperback?... grrr!

  2. Oh man! I have been wanting to read Deadly Cool for a while. I can't wait to hear what you think about it.

    1. Me too - I finally had to buy a copy for myself!

  3. Great haul! I loved Deadly Cool - so much fun! Pushing the Limits is pretty good, too, even though I didn't enjoy it quite as much as everybody else seemed to. I've never heard of Memoirs of an Imaginary Friend before, but it sounds so good - adding it to my wishlist! Enjoy your books :)

    1. I found Memoirs of an Imaginary Friend just randomly browsing Amazon and it sounded so interesting I just had to buy a copy!

  4. I was about to say that The Sealed Letter looks great and then I say The Blonde Zombie's comment;? guess I'll have to wait to see what you think!

Thanks for stopping by my Added to the Bookshelf Post

    ♥ Melissa @ Melissa's Eclectic Bookshelf

    1. Yeah, I'll try and be open minded when I get to it, but we'll see!

  5. Great haul! I'm really wanting Pushing The Limits. Happy reading!

    1. I wasn't going to request any more NG books, and then I saw Pushing the Limits!

  6. I feel better with my big haul after seeing this! LOL It's so hard to say NO to good books, when it crosses your path you just have to get it!

    Talk Supe BB&B

  7. I haven't been able to blog or read in the past few weeks either but I'm coming back to the blogosphere next week - can't wait! :)
And you got so many fantastic books!!! I'll have to check out Memoirs of an Imaginary Friend - it sounds like my cup of tea.

Have a great weekend (and happy July :D) xxx
