Top Ten of 2012 - Book Covers

Hosted by Fiktshun, A Life Bound by Books, Confessions of a Bookaholic, Two Chicks on Books and Magical Urban Fantasy Reads the next five days are all about celebrating 2012 and looking forward to 2013. I had a blast doing this event last year and I'm so excited it's back again!

Today it's Top Ten Covers - these are all 2012 releases that I read in 2012 (except Outpost), but you'll notice a distinct lack of girls in pretty dresses. Now, I do like a good pretty dress cover, but honestly, if I'm in a bookstore picking out a book, the darker, atmospheric covers are what really grab my attention, and so my list is full of post-apocalyptic goodness!

This is Not a Test by Courtney Summers
Partials (Partials #1) by Dan Wells
Outpost (Razorland #2) by Ann Aguirre
Monument 14 (Monument 14 #1) by Emmy Laybourne
Nocturnal by Scott Sigler

The Lifeboat by Charlotte Rogan
Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn
Girl of Nightmares (Anna #2) by Kendare Blake
Breathe (Breathe #1) by Sarah Crossan
Ten by Gretchen McNeil

Happy Holidays everyone!

  3. You seem to be a fan of the color blue. And people with flying hair.

I LOVE the cover for The Lifeboat. It's beautiful. I only wish I'd liked the book more.
