Top Ten Tuesday: Bookish Memories

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and The Bookish. I heart lists!

Being in Europe (and previously Australia), means that my exposure to fabulous 'in person' bookish things such as author signings, events and conferences is pretty much non-existent, so I've taken a bit of creative license with my list, and applied it mostly to my bookish memories as a blogger.

- Firstly, my first ever signed book from Phillip W. Simpson, author of Rapture.  Secondly, I was blurbed in the second book in the series, Tribulation.  So cool!

- Jonathan Maberry leaving a comment ON MY BLOG.

- Receiving my first ever physical requested ARC, Blood Fugue from Salt Publishing.

- My first blogoversary.  I still can't quite believe it's been more than a year!

- Being asked to become a moderator in my favourite Goodreads Group.

-  Last years' unofficial Eurovision Twitter party with a whole bunch of fabulous book bloggers.

- Getting an e-reader and realising that I could indeed get ALL THE BOOKS, despite living in Europe.

- Realising that Young Adult books could actually work for me.

- Making my own blog header and button and realising I'm not as much of a techno-spaz as I thought!

What are your best bookish memories?

  1. I love your E-reader one! It's great knowing you can get so many more books (especially for you living in Europe).

    1. I'd almost stopped reading before I got my e-reader because I just couldn't get good books here - it saved my reading life!

  2. I did a similar style list for the same reason!
Ah, I didn't think of the eReader though!

    1. We can always find a way to get books ;-)

  3. I always smack myself on the forehead after I start reading these Top 10 tuesday lists. I think I don't have any answers until I read everyone else's lol

  4. Jonathan Maberry commented on my Amazon review and I was astounded!

Awwww, I love that you found room in your heart for YA books. :)

    1. It's another reason that I like him - he's so NICE.

Me too - a whole new bunch of books to collect is always a good thing!

  5. You made your own blog header and button? You did awesome, Kat. Teach me, will you?

  6. jonathan maberry left a comment? sweet! i know people have mixed feelings about ereaders sometimes but i love mine. i love being able to carry tons of books around with me and being able to download the next book in a series at midnight so i don't have to stop reading. :) great list!
