  1. Pivot Point was really good! I hope you like it just as much as I did (just don't think about it too much haha) I really want to read Earth Girl after having read Christina's review a while back. It sounds so good! Awesome haul, Kat!

    1. Thanks Karen! Mr Kat doesn't quite agree with stress buying but it makes me feel better and that's what counts, right? ;-)

  7. Have a great week too, Kat! I hope you get some good news back about your residence soon, and enjoy your books! Starters was great, so as Dinner with a Vampire. You have to make allowances to the last one, because Abigail was 15 when she wrote this book, and despite her young age there is a lot of potential and cool fantasy world-building going on. I've got Earth Girl as well, but haven't read it yet.
Also Russian revolution was in 1917, so if the book starts with 1916 it will mention it :) and it's SAshenka (short from Alexandra) not SHAshenka. Sorry, Kat, you know us, Russians, have to make sure it's right. ;)))

    1. I'm having to restrain myself to be polite on the phone to the immigration peeps now!

I can overlook almost anything for world-building, and now I remember it was you that loved it :-)

Thanks for correcting me, Kara! After I recorded it I had a feeling I'd screwed up both the Russian revolution and the pronunciation!

    1. Nothing a couple of wines and bars of choccy won't cure ;-)

I really liked Zom-B, it wasn't exactly what I thought it would be, but it was definitely pleasantly surprised!

  9. I did not know about Allison Hewitt or Sadie Walker so thank you for bringing that series to my attention. How in the heck did I miss a zombie YA series?

I also added Dark Matter. That sounds pretty awesome and scary!

Also added Florence and Giles. You are really knocking it out of the park this week!

I didn't love The Way We Fall but I am interested to see where the series goes next so I will be looking out for your review.

    1. Yeah for scary books! I love a good ghost story.

I'd kind of heard about Allison Hewitt before one of my friends read it and loved it, and then suddenly it was everywhere!

  10. SO MANY BOOKS this week! Holy cow!

I want to find out if some of these sequels are worth my time, specifically Zom-B and Fallen World. Get on that. Yay for having Starters, Out of the Easy and Earth Girl, since I really liked all of those!

    1. My credit card ran away from home - although it's going to regret that because he can't even afford a cup of coffee now!

I'm on a mission to continue more of the series I've only read one book so far - terrible habit that threatens to smother me with TBR books.

  11. HA! Great argument indeed ;) I hope it gets sorted out soon, though. And you got Pivot Point! I'm really looking forward to reading that one.
