Top Ten Tuesday: Sequels I Can't Wait To Get My Hands On

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly feature hosted by The Broke and The Bookish. I heart lists!

I have a terrible not-so-secret habit of buying a whole series of books before I've even read the first one, so I had trouble coming up with this list as I either already have all the books in series that are already released, or I haven't even read the first book to know if I want the others.....

But there are eight books that I can't wait to get my hands on because I either loved the first book OR it's the last book in the series and I can't wait to see how everything ends!

World After (Penryn & the End of Days #2) by Susan Ee - although I was late to the party reading Angelfall, I'm super excited to get back to the world that Susan Ee created - and the early reviews have me on the edge of my seat.  Not long to go now!

Split Second (Pivot Point #2) by Kasie West - I loved Pivot Point even though I was a little skeptical of the paranormal element.  Again, being late to the party means I don't have that long left to wait!

The Worlds We Make (Fallen World #3) by Megan Crewe - I enjoyed the first two books in this series and I'm interested to see how it ends plus make myself feel awesome in finishing the series.

Ruins (Partials Sequence #3) by Dan Wells - *ahem* I still need to read Fragments, BUT at this rate I'll be able to binge-read it with Ruins.

Sunrise (Ashfall #3) by Mike Mullin - Another trilogy that will be sadly coming to an end in 2014 - I love that this series is completely un-paranormal and it's got all elements of a great survival story with some very realistic characters.

The Treatment (The Program #2) by Suzanne Young - The Program really took me by surprise - I loved the mixture of contemporary and dystopian elements and the fact that the romance was established BEFORE the start of the book.

Ruin and Rising (The Grisha #3) by Leigh Bardugo - Another one I'm intending to binge read - I loved Shadow and Bone despite the fact I didn't think it was my type of book.

The City of Mirrors (The Passage #3) by Justin Cronin - there's no synopsis, no release date and no cover, but I've been invested in this series since early 2011 and I really want to see how Cronin brings the series to an end.

That's my sequel-stalking list!  What sequels are you desperately waiting on?

  2. Awesome list! To be honest, I still need to try any of these (with the exception of Ashfall, but I still need to read Ashen Winter), but they're all on my must-try/read-list, because I've heard great things about them!

  5. World After, Ruin & Rising and Split Second are at the top of my list, especially Split Second, Kasie West is the best.

I'm going to read The Program soon, I'm intrigued but wary of the concept. I keep hearing good things about Ashfall, perhaps that's a series I should look into.

    Great list!

  6. "there's no synopsis, no release date and no cover..."

So frustrating, right?! Although, really, I don't even need a synopsis or a cover. Just the release date would be great. (Not that I'd 100% trust it... but knowing is still better than not knowing.)

I still need to read the second books in Mike Mullin's and Megan Crewe's series. I didn't realize The Passage had a 3rd book releasing that's pretty awesome. World After sounds neat but I still haven't finished AngelFall I keep putting it down and picking it up months later. I really should just barrel through and finish it. Great picks though.

You know, I'm not sure about what book I'd peek. I think I'd choose the one that inspires me the most at the moment! Right now, for example, it would be "A Game of Thrones" by G.R.R. Martin, because I've been meaning to start this series since forever xD
